Miami Beach Concrete Works designs and installs concrete pathways and walkways that link your outside living areas as well as enhance the beauty of your home’s exterior. Our walkways are designed to be functional (to withstand the elements of Miami Beach), yet visually appealing and safe for your family and guests, all the while supporting your landscaping plans. contact

Concrete walkways are better than anything else when it comes to durability in South Florida’s salt air coastal environment. concrete walkways have no problem with humidity, can handle massive amounts of rainfall, and continue to hold up well over many years from people walking on them and being exposed to the sun. Unlike pavers, which will always be shifting and/or move a little as they age and/or get wet, and unlike natural stone, which is uneven at best, you’ll always have a smooth, consistent surface to walk upon for decades to come with your new concrete path.
We’ve installed concrete walkways/pathways throughout numerous Miami Beach property owners and have created each installation to work correctly with water runoff (drainage), to have a good amount of traction/slip resistance, and to work well with existing landscaping.
Broom-finished walkways are a long-lasting option for properties of all types, and they have great cost efficiency. The textured surface of these walkways will also help to prevent slipping on wet surfaces, as Miami Beach has many rainy days per year.
You can transform your regular walkway into a decorative feature by stamping the concrete with patterns such as brick, stone, slate, or a custom design. Decorative stamped walkways will last a long time and retain their pattern definition for years to come, and will be significantly less expensive than other decorative options.
Embedding decorative stones into the concrete and exposing them is a unique way to create visual texture while still providing some natural slip resistance. Exposure Aggregate is an attractive finish, and it blends well with surrounding landscape plantings. It is especially attractive as a path for garden pathways.
Use color to coordinate your walkway with your home’s exterior and/or landscape palette. Earth tones, contemporary gray, and bold accent colors are just a few of the options available to you when selecting a colored concrete walkway. Choose the color that fits your design vision.
Create winding routes through planted areas that encourage exploration and discovery. As part of your overall landscaping plan, decorative concrete garden paths add both functional and aesthetic appeal to your outdoor space while protecting plant roots from foot traffic.

Design is what gives both a path’s appearance and performance their “character.” In designing our paths, we take into account several things:
Traffic patterns – The traffic pattern of an area will determine how to design primary versus secondary or alternative pathways.
Architectural style – We want to create a pathway that has the same visual appeal as the exterior architectural style of your home.
Landscape integration – Our pathways must be able to integrate and complement the landscape you currently have (and those you plan for) as well as other elements on your property, such as your house, garage, pool, etc.
Drainage management – Since there is no grade in Miami Beach, we have to make sure all of our pathways are sloped so that water can run off of them and does not accumulate or collect (pool).
Width requirements – Typically, the main walkway needs to be a minimum of four to five feet wide, while smaller garden paths can be two to three feet wide.
Accessibility requirements – If needed, we have to design pathways that are accessible to people with disabilities (ADA-compliant).
